Pretext measures and positions multiline text entirely through arithmetic β€” no getBoundingClientRect, no reflow, no thrashing. It uses Canvas measureText once in prepare() to obtain real glyph widths, then layout() computes line breaks and heights using pure arithmetic. Zero DOM reads.
